Five Things I’ve Learned From One Hundred

To all the podcast subscribers out there, thanks for subscribing…
To the Freedom Engineering first-timers, thanks for checking out the podcast, I hope you get some value out of it.
On the 100th episode, I wanted to offer some incredible gratitude and special thanks to the supporters out there including some other podcast hosts, from the podcasting community…
Brandon Handley – Fatherhood For The Rest Of Us…
Jeremy Todd – The Positive Side Podcast…
John Daly – Coach to Expect Success…
Ivan “Ozzy” Eyre – When’s My Time …
Samantha Ryser… The Power Of Passive Income…
All of whom have continued to inspire me to continue with the podcast.
And to my coach and mentor, Sam Crowley of Everyday Is Saturday ..  the man who started it all…
It’s been a turning point in my life… helping me to achieve more of my goals, release more of my fears and think bigger than I have ever done before.
Here are five things I’ve learned in one year and 100 episodes.
  • You never know who you are going to influence… but if you don’t get your message out there, you won’t influence anyone
  • Enjoy the ride… there will be frustration and failures… but you have to enjoy it and embrace it as a learning experience…
  • I think differently now… always looking at what certain situations or challenges can be turned into lessons for life… because I made the podcast about lessons in success… I’ve programmed my brain now to look at how I can apply these fundamentals of life…
  • It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy… your actions affect your outcomes and your outcomes affect your actions… either way, positive or negative… so you have to make the prophecy a positive one…
  • Release fear of failure by taking action consistently

Hope you enjoy the episode… If you do, please subscribe on Itunes, and leave a rating so others can find the podcast… thanks!

The Domino Effect

A domino can knock over another 1.5 times its size.  This means that to knock over something big, like a goal or a dream, you can start small and build momentum.

You can do it but you have to choose!

You’ll get help along the way but it’s up to you to choose your path….

Believe that what you’re doing matters

You must believe, truly believe that what you’re doing matters. Then take action and it will work out!

Life is like looking after kids

As I reflect on my own experiences and now I’m undertaking ‘daddy daycare’ I really think life, in general, is like looking after kids, you always have to be adaptable. Your best-laid plans will almost always go awry…

If you can learn to adapt to challenges and move forward with confidence you’ll be able to reach your goals and dreams faster and with more success.

First Meetup Today

Mindset shift, action steps and consistency has led me to today when I will host the first of the Melbourne Entrepreneurship Meetup events.  Shows an example of making the choice to follow a path that leads to success and creating the life that you want instead of following the crowd.

Shogunai – It can’t be helped

Hello Freedom Engineers!

I was back on the meditation cushion this morning after an early morning walk.  Turns out I’ve done over 160 sessions and 30hours of meditation since I started practising mindfulness (officially).  The message this morning was the Japanese word of Shogunai – which loosely translates to “it can’t be helped”.  It’s a reminder to practise acceptance in our lives, to remember that there are some things which we can’t control and it’s better to accept these for what is and move on with positive action.

I’m focusing on the next 2 months as a springboard for creating momentum for 2018 towards my goals and dreams.  Are you??  If you need some assistance or are looking for some simple action suggestions, send me an email dave(at)thefreedomengineer.com

Have a great day!

#30 Move Forward With Conviction
