Five Things I’ve Learned From One Hundred

To all the podcast subscribers out there, thanks for subscribing…
To the Freedom Engineering first-timers, thanks for checking out the podcast, I hope you get some value out of it.
On the 100th episode, I wanted to offer some incredible gratitude and special thanks to the supporters out there including some other podcast hosts, from the podcasting community…
Brandon Handley – Fatherhood For The Rest Of Us…
Jeremy Todd – The Positive Side Podcast…
John Daly – Coach to Expect Success…
Ivan “Ozzy” Eyre – When’s My Time …
Samantha Ryser… The Power Of Passive Income…
All of whom have continued to inspire me to continue with the podcast.
And to my coach and mentor, Sam Crowley of Everyday Is Saturday ..  the man who started it all…
It’s been a turning point in my life… helping me to achieve more of my goals, release more of my fears and think bigger than I have ever done before.
Here are five things I’ve learned in one year and 100 episodes.
  • You never know who you are going to influence… but if you don’t get your message out there, you won’t influence anyone
  • Enjoy the ride… there will be frustration and failures… but you have to enjoy it and embrace it as a learning experience…
  • I think differently now… always looking at what certain situations or challenges can be turned into lessons for life… because I made the podcast about lessons in success… I’ve programmed my brain now to look at how I can apply these fundamentals of life…
  • It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy… your actions affect your outcomes and your outcomes affect your actions… either way, positive or negative… so you have to make the prophecy a positive one…
  • Release fear of failure by taking action consistently

Hope you enjoy the episode… If you do, please subscribe on Itunes, and leave a rating so others can find the podcast… thanks!

A bad day can just as easily be good

I had a bad day, where all things aligned such that I got all the red lights, spilt my coffee, had priority projects derail my best-laid plans.  But, and this is important… If all things can align for the worst, doesn’t it make sense that any other day, all things can align for the best?

It’s a matter of reflection and perspective and how you respond to the challenges that count.

Reduce Drag For Success

Like a motor car or a sprinter that is looking to reduce drag to help move fast with efficiency and less resistance, we can all look at ways to reduce drag in our lives.

Gratitude

Bringing more gratitude into your life will help to build a mindset of appreciation, thankfulness and ultimately focus on your goals…

The Compound Effect

The Compound Effect is a concept that is based around the idea that incremental positive habits or steps will lead to other incremental positive habits.  In isolation they do not look like much but when put back to back and allowed to grow as a combined entity, the results can be astounding.

Try implementing positive habits into your life and watch what happens over the long term!

“The Compound Effect” – Darren Hardy is a great book to read!

Freedom To Elevate Your Life

“I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by conscious endeavour” – Henry David Thoreau

We really are a unique species, Human Beings, that have the capacity to bring about fundamental change in our lives through self awareness and conscious action towards our goals.

Recognise those activities which are not moving you forward and eliminate or reduce, and look to those activities which will help you achieve your goals and add them into your daily life… Awareness, Action, Results… Simple…!
